Fitness with a Smile
After 13 years teaching traditional forms of fitness, and 13 years exploring yoga and Nia
(Kelly is a black belt and completed the Next Generation Trainer Program in 2012), as well as
other alternative arts, she became inspired to create "kai".
Kai, which means "ocean" in Hawaiian, and "loveable" in Swahili, delivers a
mind-body-spirit experience and workout similar yet distinctly different from Nia.
Inspired from nature, Kai is cutting edge fitness. Kai offers a somatic learning
experience while also deeply conditioning the muscles, opening the joints, and giving

Kelly also offers one-on-one wellness coaching done over the phone or in person. Wellness coaching covers all aspects of health, including but not limited to environment,
nutrition, exercise, sleep, changing habits, and social.
Wellness coaching is not therapy, the difference being that a wellness coach doesn't dive backwards
into issues, but rather keeps the attention forward on the vision of what one wants, and helps you to take small steps to achieve your dreams and reach your
peak performance. Based on Positive Psychology, a wellness coach utilizes your strengths to keep you energized and positive, and helps you maneuver through
Kelly will ask you questions to develop a wellness vision for yourself, and then break that down into 3 month and weekly goals that you choose.
The theory behind wellcoaches coaching is that consumers know what they want, and how to get there. A coach is not the expert, simply a guide to help you get
clear, stay on track, and monitor all the positive learning along the way. Before you know it you'll be feeling stronger, healthier, and be celebrating
your increased vitality and confidence.
Studies have shown that working with a coach is more effective than working with a personal trainer. The desired changes happen as Kelly puts
