About Kelly...


Fitness with a Smile
Bringing 18 years of experience as a fitness trainer to the table when she first discovered Nia, Kelly found it to be the most revolutionary and profound way to find true health in body, mind, and spirit through movement. By connecting to finding Joy in her movement, instead of the old "No pain, no gain" theory of health and fitness, she herself has experience healing on all levels.

She discovered that Nia brings fitness and body/mind/spirit healing together naturally, in a playful manner, using the concept of "The Body's Way," where all movements are natural to the body.

She also discovered that through the use of imagery, play, sensing the body, and moving with the principle of finding the JOY of one's movement can open one up to self-healing and health on all levels.

Kelly has a BS in Health & Wellness and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Pilates Instructor. She is now at the "Black Belt Level" as a teacher of the Nia Technique.



Wellness Coaching
Kelly also offers one-on-one wellness coaching done over the phone or in person. Wellness coaching covers all aspects of health, including but not limited to environment, nutrition, exercise, sleep, changing habits, and social.

Wellness coaching is not therapy, the difference being that a wellness coach doesn't dive backwards into issues, but rather keeps the attention forward on the vision of what one wants, and helps you to take small steps to achieve your dreams and reach your peak performance. Based on Positive Psychology, a wellness coach utilizes your strengths to keep you energized and positive, and helps you maneuver through the changes.

Kelly will ask you questions to develop a wellness vision for yourself, and then break that down into 3 month and weekly goals that you choose. The theory behind wellcoaches coaching is that consumers know what they want, and how to get there. A coach is not the expert, simply a guide to help you get clear, stay on track, and monitor all the positive learning along the way. Before you know it you'll be feeling stronger, healthier, and be celebrating your increased vitality and confidence.

Studies have shown that working with a coach is more effective than working with a personal trainer. The desired changes happen as Kelly puts more emphasis on learning along the way versus getting there entirely. It's like having a best friend right there beside you, willing to listen, explore and route you on towards your dreams! Please call or email if interested!
