The Bone Builder classes
use bands, tubing, free weights, Nia, floorplay, yoga, great music and foam rollers
for getting the body back into shape! We will focus on breathing techniques, neutral
or optimal spinal positioning, the best traditional training and modern Pilates
exercises for strengthening upper body, lower body and the core, as well as for
flexibility and balance.

This week-long training includes over 40 hours of cognitive and experiential
training instruction to help you learn the practical application of the white belt

NIA GREEN BELT INTENSIVE
June 11-15, 2011
The focus of the Green Belt is honing teaching skills and working with the 13 principles of the White Belt.
Green Belt is an optional training, which focuses entirely on developing and embodying the skills to effectively teach Nia.
All belt levels who teach or desire to teach are strongly encouraged to attend this training.
In general the Nia Education Program can be divided into five competency areas: Anatomy, Music, Movement, Methodology and Philosophy.
In the Green Belt, students will go through a 5-day intensive program that takes all of the 13 White Belt Principles through the framework
of the five competency areas specifically to develop teaching skills. In addition to the competency areas, students will continue to perfect
their skill at modeling and working with the 52 Moves and demonstrating the moves for different fitness levels.
Students will work with the
Nia's 5 Sensations of Fitness: Flexibility, Mobility, Strength, Agility and Stability to deliver the Nia Experience that promises physical
fitness through seeking pleasure in the body.

Babysitting
A babysitter is available (Shellie Cheak, certified child care provider) at Kelly's
home (2 minutes from Saradance) on both Monday and Thursday nights (5:30pm - 7pm).
If you would like to drop your kids off and pick up after class, you're welcome.
Babysitting is $4 per child, $8 max for 2 or more children.
We also have babysitting available on Wednesdays and Fridays at Saradance.
